Study on Mechanics Analysis of Underwater Explosion of Triethylaluminium
Abstract:
By making use of water as the sensitizer for triethylaluminium explosion, the contrast test was designed for dispersion of triethylaluminium explosion in water and air. It was observed by the high-speed photography that that triethylaluminium was burning and dispersing in air at a maximum dispersion speed of 27m/s, while triethylaluminium was mixed with water, the dispersion speed reached 60m/s. The range of flame was larger than in air horizontally and vertically. The test results show that the triethylaluminium sensitization was significant. After the test ended, the clear deformation of aluminum basin could be seen, which indicated overpressure occurred in the process of reaction between triethylaluminium and water. The contrast test of triethylaluminium explosion was performed in two cases of 50L and 30L water. The test result shows that appropriately increasing quantity and diameter of water facilitates detonation.
