Abstract:

The fragmentation of rural space leads to a large number of practical problems in rural economy, society and environment, and meanwhile seriously affects the course of urbanization. Rural clustering construction is the route that must be taken to deal with the fragmentation of rural space and realize coordinated development of urban and rural space. This paper, firstly, summarized four types of rural clustering; then it sorts out relevant studies of planning and implementation approaches to rural clustering, namely, planning methods of village stationing, and concludes three main planning methods, with concrete analysis, including the allocation method featuring the principle of proximity related to the distance between farming and commuting, multi-index comprehensive evaluation method, and the method based on city fractal theory; finally, this paper points out the shortcomings of the study in the current stage.
