Route Selection of Expressway Based on VE and AHP

Abstract:

The route selection is a very important job in the planning and construction of the expressway. Various elements such as construction costs, social benefits, environmental impact, and so on should be taken into consideration in planning out a technically feasible and economically reasonable route. In this paper, functional analysis was conducted on many route selections through Value Engineering (VE), and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was applied to determine the weight of each functional parameter and then the value coefficient of each plan was calculated so that the optimal expressway route selection plan can be achieved.
