Research on Automatic Exchange of Mill Heads of Movable Beam Type Machining Center

Abstract:

After analysis of the mill head magazine, the attachment to the movable beam type machining center XH2125/H-800, which is of SIEMENS840D numerical control system, is developed in this paper, the software contains automatic exchange of mill head function controls. This software compromises the functions of the user variables and the high-level programming language, and is based on the data exchange and data comparison between CNC and PLC. All mill heads locates in the magazine that can distinguish, search and exchange automatically, and this system can display the suggestive information or failure warning safeguard in time on the operation screen to make it easy for user to operate.
