Modeling Impulse Wire Feed Welding in Controlled Gas Shielding

Article Preview

Abstract:

At present application of a shielding gas (Ar+CO2) is one of the methods to improve the efficiency of impulse wire feed welding. For further investigation of the considered welding method information processing technologies and the software required are to be applied. Special software “Modeling processes of controlled transfer of the electrode metal drop” is developed, and provides calculation of main technological welding parameters on the basis of adapted mathematical models and algorithms to compute a weld form, changes in heat zones and cooling speed of welded joint zones.
