Application of Nanostructured Powders to Control Characteristics of Electrode Metal Transfer and the Process of Weld Structurization

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper considers the influence of nanostructured powder-modifiers on transfer of the electrode metal drop and the microstructure of a surfaced metal in consumable electrode welding in argon shielding. It is found, that welding with the nanopowder Al2O3 is the most consistent process and application of nanostructured powders enables controlling the structure and the morphology of a surfaced metal.
