Study on the Technology of Extracting Form Structure

Abstract:

Extraction of form structure is the precondition of the form recognition. The paper presents a simple and fast method for extracting form structure. Through the analysis of form structure characteristics, the method includes extracting form line with mathematical morphology, thinning form line, mending form line, adjusting form line and so on. The method is realized in this paper and the results are given. The result shows that this method is effectively to extract form structure.
