Abstract:

RBD(Recreational Business District) has now been a crucial segment of urban system, where tourism, recreation and commercial activities take Place. It has also been the most vital area in the city. This paper bases on the functions and development characteristics of urban RBD, taking Jing'an Temple RBD, Shanghai as example, analyzing Current development problems and dilemma the RBD facing with, and putting forward its future spatial development strategy. Providing a possible develop direction for other RBD construction to consult.
