Abstract: Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) is recognized as an important method to design and rehabilitate highway bridge structures. ABC is bridge construction that uses innovative planning, design, materials, and construction methods in a safe and cost-effective manner to reduce the onsite construction time that occurs when building new bridges or replacing and rehabilitating existing bridges. ABC uses both new technology and innovative project management techniques to reduce the impact of bridge construction projects on the public and to reduce bridge construction costs. In the early stages of a construction project, engineers need to assess whether elements of ABC are achievable and effective for a specific bridge location. Use of decision-making tools in early stages of planning is advocated as a mechanism for helping decision maker assess alternatives with more confidence and for preventing investment in alternatives that are more costly. In this study, a set of decision making tools, based on the Bridge Construction Index (BCI) were developed. This tool is prepared for transportation specialists and decision-makers to determine if ABC techniques are more effective than traditional construction for a given bridge replacement or rehabilitation project.

Abstract: This paper aims to emphasize the necessity of introducing Project-Based Learning (PBL) to design enterprises in order to foster designers creativity and facilitate innovation of design enterprises. According to the literature review, creativity can be viewed as the first stage of innovation; PBL has at least two elements including solving real problems and group work that can provide conditions of creativity development. Moreover, creativity techniques such as brainstorming, mind mapping, checklist and morphological analysis are suggested to be integrated into PBL in the design enterprises.

Abstract: We discuss single machine scheduling problems with learning effects of setup and removal times and deterioration effects of processing time, i.e., the processing (setup or removal) time of a job is a function of its position . The objective functions are finding the optimal sequence of jobs to minimize a cost function containing makespan, total completion time and total absolute differences in completion times and to minimize a cost function containing makespan, total waiting time and total absolute differences in waiting times. The problems are modeled as an assignment problem respectively, and thus can be solved in polynomial time.

Abstract: In order to investigate whether changes in the accounting system of mandatory significantly improve the quality of accounting earnings of listed companies, this paper uses empirical research methods and takes A-shares listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen manufacturing industry in the year of 2004-2009 as samples to analyze. The results show that with the constant reform and improvement of Chinese accounting system, the earnings quality of a share shows a significant upward trend on the whole, which demonstrates the changes in the accounting system can promote the earning quality to some extent. At the same time the research discover also shows that simple changes in accounting standards does not improve the quality of accounting information, unless it is accompanied by supporting the strong legal and enforcement mechanisms.

Abstract: Context-aware applications can sense and explore the context of production processes to provide proper and useful services to managers in workshop. Firstly, a multi-level ontology model of materials is found which is expressed in OWL as an ontology collection of describing places ages and events and associated properties among them. Secondly, a multi-level context-aware control model and its mechanism are produced. In this model, data integration is controlled by the demand state transitions at different levels including workflow levels, control levels and data levels, which incorporates dynamic context information. And context is classified based on the analysis of demand into five main categories, which is further categorized as simple condition and composite condition to form a multi-level context. And the data integration model is implemented dynamically by checking the context constraint associated with each application task at the time of the specific request submission. Finally, a case study is developed within a manufacturing enterprise to show the benefits of the model.

Abstract: In this paper, through comparison and analysis of manufacturing logistics development present situation at home and abroad and points out the outstanding problems existing in the development of national manufacturing logistics. Manufacturing enterprises according to their own production type, enterprise scale and technology base to determine the outsourcing strategy, and selection of supply chain partners. Especially in the process of strategic transformation, should have the courage to overcome obstacles to implement process restructuring, enables companies to new look to meet the challenge of the era of global supply chains.

Abstract: This paper considers single-machine due-window assignment and scheduling with learning effect and resource-dependent processing times. The processing time of a job is a function of its position in a sequence, its starting time, and its resource allocation. The objective is to determine the optimal sequence of jobs and optimal resource allocation so as to minimize the sum of earliness, tardiness, due-windows and resource and operation time cost, the considered problem is molded as an assignment problem and can be solved with a polynomial time algorithm.

Abstract: Materials data integration is one of core competence concerning with the development of mass data application in manufacture enterprises. In this paper, a context-aware materials data integration meta model is presented which is incorporating an advanced materials demand mapping and decomposition mechanism to support fine-grained materials data in the right time for the provision of materials services, based on the analysis of the application context involving the key points and relationships in their manufacturing processes. In this model, materials data integration is controlled by the demand state transitions at different levels including workflow levels, control levels and data levels, which incorporates dynamic context information by checking the context constraint associated with each application task at the time of the specific request submission. Finally, a case is given which is implemented in a complex equipments enterprise.

Abstract: Aiming at uncertain information and dynamic characteristic during flexible job-shop scheduling process, some kind of dynamic scheduling method for flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP) is put forward based on real-time adjustment. A dynamic simulation solution mode framework is presented for FJSP. This framework is inspired by adaptive control, combined with the robust scheduling and foreseeing scheduling. It has both advantages of such two scheduling methods, and its stable and highly efficient. Preliminary scheme generation method based on foreseeing dynamics scheduling is introduced then. Foreseeing function is realized by fault-handling algorithm and dynamic simulation solver on the basis of Adaptive Genetic Algorithm (AGA).

Abstract: A dynamic scheduling method for FJSP is put forward based on real-time adjustment of controllable margin, aiming at uncertain information and dynamic characteristic during practical job-shop scheduling process. Strategy and methods of dynamic scheduling adjustment are presented, which respond to real-time event. In view of practical operation condition and accuracy demands, two methods are proposed. One is rescheduling that condenses domain, the other is scheduling updating based on adjustment. Such strategy obtains dynamic robust scheduling of FJSP to ensure the real-time of algorithm, continuity and stability of scheduling schemes.
