Smart Grid Implementation Strategies and Practices in Smart City

Abstract:

With the in-depth studies of smart grid and the promotion of their engineering practices, lots of smart grid technologies have been applied in urban development. Smart grid is becoming an important part of the development of smart city. This paper focuses on construction and development of smart city, and proposes the basic strategies for smart grid implementation in urban areas in the context of smart city development with regard to its basic characteristics. The smart grid implementation carried out by SGCC (State Grid Corporation of China) is introduced including a large number of integrated smart grid projects in local region.
