User Plane for VOLTE

Abstract:

We study the LTE system from user plane perspective, considering the challenges of delay, jitter and packet drop which influence the quality of VoIP. Whats more, in order to implement HD voice in VoLTE, system applies AMR-WB. Additionally, provide suggestion how to combine the metrics in control plane with the user plane for VOLTE performance analysis and trouble shooting.
