Empirical Study on the Effect of Investment on Employment

Abstract:

In this paper, we investigated the relationship between investment and employment in our society by using co-integration theory, and analyzed the relationship between investment and employment in 33 sectors by using panel data model. The co-integration analysis shows that there exists a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between the whole social investment growth and employment growth. The panel data model testifies that investment has the greatest effect on the employment of commercial catering industry.
