Power Control Based Channel Allocation Method for Ad Hoc Networks

Article Preview

Abstract:

Hidden terminal problem in Ad Hoc networks is more serious because of asymmetrical links between different inter-node communications, in this paper, a power control based MAC layer channel allocation method is proposed, assigning different power values to different channels, select transmit power according to the distance between communication nodes, and then select the corresponding channel. Simulation results show that this method can effectively maximize aggregate throughput and throughput of unit energy consumption.
