Abstract: Temperature of superheated steam in power generation units is essentially important for the safe and economic running of boilers and turbines. In this paper, a robust PID control strategy based on multiple models is proposed. Robust PID controllers associated with each model are designed with parameters tuned based on the H performance. For different operating conditions, the appropriate controller is selected by the given switching strategy. Simulations are done to prove the effectiveness of the control strategy.

Abstract: In order to create the virtual earthquake environment, VRML modeling language is used to build a real environment that is a 3D mountain scene after earthquake. A simulation model of quadruped search-rescue robot is established in VRML modeling technology. The walking stability of quadruped search-rescue robot is observed using the VRML model established with the change of gravity curve. Simulation results show that the gravity displacement curve of the robot is smooth.

Abstract: This article introduces a measurement system based on LabVIEW used for optical interference fringe on micro-fluidic chips. This system mainly uses cameras to capture real-time images of wedge interference fringe on micro-fluidic chips, then the collected images will be binarized by LabVIEW. The processed images will be divided by zone , determine the flatness and gap thickness of the micro-fluidic chips by interference fringes with different directions of deflection and numbers. Finally, feedback from measured data will be used to adjust the flatness and gap thickness of micro-fluidic chips in order to meet the requirement of tests.

Abstract: In order to improve the personification of human-robot emotion interaction, this paper based on the Euclidean space emotion model and Ekman theory of emotion, deduces the general formula of emotion characteristic value, establishes a improvement model of robot which can express the robots emotion through the body language. The general formula of emotional feature value make the models suitable for the expression of various emotions, and through body language to express the emotions, improves the emotion expression model generality and adaptability.

Abstract: In order to develop drive circuit for high pressure common rail injector solenoid valve, analysis the model of drive circuit and study the relation between voltage and electromagnetic response of solenoid valve. The controllable BOOST circuit was designed to provide the high voltage helping to improve electromagnetic response, and high and low voltage time-sharing driving circuit was designed based on current feedback control. Drive current can be adjusted automatically according to the peak current and holding current, with better consistency of peak current. The result of driving experiment for certain injector shows that: the new drive circuit has fast response, with only 0.045ms rising time for drive current reaching the peak value 22A, and peak current has good consistency.

Abstract: This paper presents a search strategy for single mobile robots to realize the active olfaction (also called odor/gas source localization or plume tracing). The odor source localization is regarded as a kind of dynamic function optimization problem in this article, using the simulated annealing algorithm to calculate the optimal solution of density distribution function, namely the odor source location. The simulation experiments results in indoor ventilated environment show that the robot can track in plume and locate the odor source under the area of the 10m*10m, and it can effectively jump out of local maximum values in the process of search.

Abstract: An ant colony algorithm is a stochastic searching optimization algorithm that is based on the heuristic behavior of the biologic colony. Its positive feedback and coordination make it possible to be applied to a distributed system. It has favorable adaptability in solving combinatorial optimization and has great development potential for its connotative parallel property. This study focused on global path planning with an ant colony algorithm in an environment based on grids, which explores a new path planning algorithm. How to present and update the pheromone of an ant system was investigated. The crossover operation of a genetic algorithm was used in the ant system for path optimization. Experimental results show that the algorithm has better path planning optimization ability than other algorithms.

Abstract: Electromagnetic interference easily appears in the propulsive wheel - a key component of the mobile robots, because internal space of propulsive wheel is very small, there are numerous electronic devices, and signal communication is complex. So electromagnetic shielding is very important for the propulsive wheel. In this paper, a wheel model and an equivalent source model of electromagnetic interference of the wheel were developed based on considerations of the internal electromagnetic properties. At the same time, a secondary source of electromagnetic interference is formed by heat sink. Hence, shielding effectiveness is taken as one of the evaluation criteria for the Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) problem, and the Genetic Algorithm (GA) in the software Ansoft HFSS platform was used to optimize the first resonance frequency of heat sink.

Abstract: A fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller is developed for controlling the pressure of the common-rail of DME (Dimethyl Ether) engine, and the performance test was carried out on a pump test bench. The results showed that the lag time of pressure following was not more than 0.34ms when the set value of common rail pressure stepped under the different speed, and the fluctuation value of common-rail pressure did not exceeding 0.5MPa while the target pressure changed from 5MPa to 11MPa, and the rail pressure fluctuation decreases rapidly with the target pressure increased, and the rail pressure fluctuation value did not exceeding 0.1MPa when the target pressure reaches at 11MPa. All these results fully illustrated that the fuzzy adaptive PID controller possesses the common advantages of PID controller and fuzzy controller, and the regulator of common rail pressure has the advantages of fast response, small static error, tiny overshoot, good robustness and quite stability.
