Abstract: Natural plant extracts without non-toxic side effect and the relevant products are gaining popularity, and make natural medicines one option of health care. This study combines polypropylene (PP) fibers, high-absorption polyacrylate (HPA) fibers with weight ratios of 100/0, 90/10, and 80/20 wt % with a nonwoven manufacturing process to form PP/HPA nonwoven fabrics, after which the fabrics are immersed in a Bletilla striata (BS) extract, and then dried, yielding functional PP/HPA/BS nonwoven fabric. Stereomicroscopic observation, tensile strength test, tear strength test, and air permeability test are performed on the sample to evaluate the difference in mechanical properties before and after the immersion. In vitro test evaluates the biocompatibility of BC extract. The experimental results show that functional PP/HPA/BS nonwoven fabrics have optimal mechanical properties and an optimal content of 32.2 % BS extract when the nonwoven fabrics are made with an 80:20 ratio.

Abstract: Poly (trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT) /cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) blend fibers were prepared through melt blending and spinning in this paper. The mechanical properties, dyeability, and hydroscopicity of PTT/CAB fibers were studied. The results indicated that the tensile strength of PTT / CAB blend fibers reduced slightly and the elongation at break increased with CAB content rising. And the dye uptake and moisture absorption percentage of PTT / CAB blend fibers increased as more CAB was added, i.e., in some degree, CAB added improved PTT fibers dyeability and hydroscopicity.

Abstract: Binder is the essential component of coating color recipe. The amount and type of latex binder has a significant effect on both the structure and chemical-physical properties of coated paper, which affect critical surface properties, e.g., print gloss, roughness, ink setting rate via liquid absorption, and print mottle The main aim of this study was to investigate the effect of coating solid on the binder distribution in the method of numerical analysis by Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope (LSCM). In this study, Rhodamine B was used to stain the binder and as the probe to characterize z-directional distribution of the binder using LSCM. The results implied that it was reliable and effective method using LSCM to characterize the z-directional distribution of binder and analyze the influence of coating solid on binder distribution in the z-direction. It could be concluded that the coating solid played an important effect on binder distribution in coated paper and low coating solid with more water accelerated binder migration to the interior of base paper, sample with 60% coating solid is good to binder distribution and coating layer forming.

Abstract: The influence of Ti/N ratio on the effective boron and mechanical properties was investigated by analyzing data from low carbon boron alloyed bainitic steel plates. The result shows Ti/N ratio varies with effective boron value. Less than 50% effective boron was obtained when Ti/N ratio is below 3.3, nearly 90% effective boron is obtained when ratio Ti/N is more than 4; Adding enough Titanium is an effective and economic way to improve qualified ratio of bainitic steel plate. The Ti content between 0.010% and 0.030% does not have obvious effect on the toughness of the bainitic steel;

Abstract: Study on tensile fracture behavior of TiAl alloy by means of the macro fracture theory and micro dislocation block theory. A quantitative analysis method of micro crack nucleation and crack mechanism for TiAl alloy is performed with the help of the dislocation distribution model, and is based on the strain energy density theory and criterion, a crack criterion of TiAl alloy instability is established. The experimental results confirmed that the dislocation model and S criterion on tensile fracture behavior of TiAl alloys are effective.

Abstract: Service life of tap is shorter when low frequency torsional vibration tapping is used to tap on superalloy GH4169. The analysis of experimental data show that excessive repeated cutting times and high friction speed result in rapid wear of tap. In order to avoid above unfavorable factors, step type vibration tapping is proposed, which has larger cutting angle, such as 90°, and lower spindle speed. It was proved by experiments on superalloy GH4169 that service life of tap of step type vibration tapping is about twice of that of common low frequency torsional vibration tapping .

Abstract: The recovery of copper from copper smelter slag utilizing flotation has been studied. A copper smelter slag from the Wang Jiaqiao smelter in Yunnan Province of china, containing 2.76% Cu, 44.41% Fe, 2.34% Zn and 18.4g/t Ag and so on, has been used .The effective factors such as grinding fineness, pH, and the dosage and type of collector were examined. Under the flotation condition of grinding fineness (90%-74μm), rougher pH 6, XT-53(80 g/t), and 2# oil (30g/t) , copper grade of 23.55 %, recovery of 85.61% was obtained. Besides, silver get a recovery of 76.2% and grade of 143.07g/t as associated metals.

Abstract: In this study, the main aims were to recovery copper from Au-bearing Copper Ore by flotation. The main mineral is copper with 1.18% Cu and 0.75g/t Au. Same chalcopyrite in fine parts is encapsulated in gangue minerals, and some copper minerals exist as the intergrowth with pyrrhotite and pyrite. After study, the suitable mineral combined processing flowsheet of mixed flotation-copper sulphur separation with stage grinding and stage separation which consisting of one rougher-five concentrate-four scavenging flotation and highly efficient collector YL-3 developed independently,which has not only good selectivity for collecting copper, but also can increase Au recovery have been defined. Under such a condition, the grade of Cu is 13.05% and the recovery of 84.94% with Au 5.96g/t and 60.23% recovery is obtained, which has a better effect.

Abstract: Material selection means to select some kind of material which can both meet the structural requirements and reduce cost so as to get the greatest economic interest. This selected material should also be suitable to the environmental conditions and accord with the resources supply. Compared with the other aspects of products design, material selection is the most essential part. Material selection for design is a complex process. It is necessary to construct a system for matching principles of material selection in product design, to ensure it to reach an appropriate goal. This system requires the designer to take into consideration social, economic and technological factors from the perspective of the design itself. It also requires the designer to take the initiative to select, so as to reach the goal of Shi.

Abstract: Bearing the gravity of rotary kiln barrel and the pressure between riding wheel and rolling ring, the surface defects appeared on casting large rotary kiln rolling ring, which caused large maintenance cost. While the life cycle of the rolling ring would be prolonged by using forging instead. The manufacture processing of large rotary kiln rolling ring was explored for changing casting to forging. The reasonable processing of smelting, forging and heat treatment were established.
