Abstract: It is described herein the general rule complied with by different forms of rivers by calculation of evolution trend of selected typical reaches of Ouchikou, Wakouzi and Yaojian which are appeared in the middle of Yangtze River, representing respectively the straight branch, minor bending branch and bending branch. The evolution for reaches of straight branches are mainly characterized with moving backward of side shoal by washout, increased swing of main flow, becoming shallow of riverbed and displacement of navigation trough. For minor bending branches, they generally have unstable water courses, frequently swinging thalweg, washout on head part and left and right rims of heart shoal and extended downward of deposit at the end. Because of reduced sand content, main courses and branches are in the trend of washout. As for bending branches, it is generally stable because of shore protection projects and the navigation condition is better than other type of river reaches unless there is sharp cutting of protruding side shoals.

Abstract: On the basis of comprehensive analysis of water supply and the development of social economy in Zhengzhou, analysis of the balance of supply and demand of water resources and water-saving potential in Zhengzhou center city, and identified the water conservation planning target of Zhengzhou City center in 2015, it is concluded that water-saving potential in Zhengzhou City center in 2015 is 3000.28×104 m3; and put forward the countermeasures and measures of saving water from the aspects of industry and comprehensive life, for the water conservation planning of Zhengzhou City center in 12th Five-year to provide the reference basis.

Abstract: The shoal protection works in the middle and lower Yangtze River is divided three types, i.e. riprap in bulk, dam body and soft mattress. As a new kind of shoal protection works, because the application time is very short, therefore the beach protection effect and the improvement measure have not thorough researched. In order to better apply to channel regulation project, the simulation technique of the X-type flexible mattress is thorough researched, the aspects of geometry similarity, gravity similarity, plan layout similarity and river bed deformation similarity are solved, the physical simulation technology problem is realized.

Abstract: Found on data of accelerated life test, the relationship between outward disease of structural concrete and holistic deterioration of building was analysed. The results indicated that: outward diseases of structural concrete, such as abrasion, scour erosion, and peeling, carbonization etc, are not hypostatic breakage for holistic building, so could not be regarded as the key points of deterioration identification at building. Deterioration appraisement should be focused on detections of engineering indices relating to structural inbeing quality and analyses of multifarious remainder relating to bearing capacity. Only in this way, deterioration degree of structural concrete and efficacious repair indices could be factually incarnated. Ground on testing multifarious bearing capacities, deterioration identification of concrete buildings was founded, and remedy principles corresponding to inbeing deterioration indices were put forward.

Abstract: The rubble mound seawall to be discussed is built on the silted floor of the Pearl River estuary. To meet the requirements of wave defending, stability and anti-seepage, foundation replacement method was used to enhance its groundsill and geomembrane was laid on the downstream slope for seepage control. However, because the silted floor in the foundation wasnt totally removed in the construction process, settlement deformation occured and the downstream slopes trended to slide down. Furthermore, due to the insufficient back pressure for seepage control, serious leakages and piping appeared on the anti-seepage body. The water leakage phenomenon showed little improvement even after additional cement grouting and plastering on the slope. In this paper, a seepage pressure stick slope reinforcement scheme is proposed to handle this problem. After the reinforcement, the water leakage has been prevented and the safety factors of the seepage and slope meets the safety requirements. The pollution caused by the seepage is also eliminated. The proposed technique can give a good reference to the other seawall reinforcement problems.

Abstract: The adding of magnesia expanding agent can effectively control the generation of concrete dam fissure, and can play the effect of simplifying the temperature control measure , shortening the time limit of the project , improving the economic benefits and so on . This study will use the Abaqus CAE software to analyze the gravity dam of magnesia concrete . Check the features of magnesia concrete by comparing the adding one and the no adding one , and summarize the results of the numerical value simulation and compile the software to provide the theoretical basis for the numerical value simulation of magnesia concrete dam.

Abstract: In recent years in yunnan province grain production increase in volatility,The high and stable yield of grain without good irrigation. Agriculture is water conservation, Industrial and agricultural water use ratio is about 1:4 in China, the main contradiction of supply and demand of water resources in agriculture.Due to other reasons, agricultural water supply reliability will be further reduced.In the case of agricultural water situation has deteriorated, in order to ensure and enlarge the scale of regional food production,urgently needs to research and develop to solve the contradictory between food production and supply of water resources in this area.

Abstract: The three-dimensional (3-D) flow structures and suspended-load sediment transport processes in the dam area of the Three Gorges Project (TGP) with large water depth were simulated by a 3-D mathematical model. The characteristics of flow structures and suspended-load concentration distribution were analyzed based on the simulated results. Strong 3-D features of flow structures can be found in the dam area, the secondary currents are significant. The suspended-load sediment concentration reduced much faster in wider valley areas, where deposits accumulated. Due to impact of secondary currents, the maximum concentration of suspended-load occurs at the convex side while the minimum at the concave side. It demonstrates that the 3-D numerical modeling is a useful prediction technique and research tool to enhance our understanding of flow structures and mass transport processes in natural rivers with complex boundary.

Abstract: Through film hole irrigation test-pit experiments,the effects of different irrigation treatments on water consumption,growth characteristics and maize yield were studied.The result showed that the jointing stage and heading stage were the key stages of water requirement of maize.Water consumption increased with the increased irrigation quota at the same number of irrigation.Effect of irrigation treatment on maize biological index was significant in less irrigation times and less irrigation quota.Water production efficiency increased 23.3% and yield increased 15.9% under film hole irrigation than that of border irrigation.Water consumption of the maximum yield was 3410m3/hm2 under film hole irrigation.

Abstract: It is analyzed herein of collapsing character of Daijiazhou river reach, the bank shoring in the lower reach of Yangtze River and their adaptability and the summary on the bank shoring experiences thereof. The type of bank shoring suitable for river reach of Daijiazhou is recommended accordingly depending on the features of Daijiazhou river reach. In consideration of long bank slope and complicated water flow, terrain, geology, etc. in the around area, a combined method of bank shoring characterized with different bank shoring structure applied to the different position of the same bank slope has been put forward based on the overall analysis so as to reach expected effect of the projects with ensured stable structure.
