Investigation on Small-Scale Experiments of Magnetic Field around Air-Core Reactors

Article Preview

Abstract:

Air-core reactors have become the main source of electromagnetic contamination in substations. In this project, the scaling methods for small-scale experimental technique will be studied, in order to provide validation of the analytical and numerical calculation, and to help to predict the MF around air-core reactors. Firstly, the scaling rules of the parameters for air-core reactors are summarized firstly. Then a full size, 1/2 size 1/6 size of air-core reactors are put forward in order to study the MF of the origin size by analytical calculation, numerical simulation and small-scale experiment. All the results verify the effectiveness of the scaling rules and the equivalency of small-scale experiments.
