Review of Noncontact Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing for the Solid Materials

Abstract:

The present paper comprehensively reviews non contact nondestructive testing (NDT) methods in use around the world for the solid materials. It introduces a review of the current state-of-the-art in NDT of railways coupled with a discussion of future developments and new detection approach in the field. It also presents some recent works on laser-EMAT testing in Shandong Academy of Sciences.
