Surface Desuperheater Structure Improvement against the Cylinder Radial Cracks

Article Preview

Abstract:

The dominant factor is the inner condensate in the desuperheater, which leads to cylinder wall’s radicalized thermal fatigue cracks. The paper put forward a new design for desuperheater’s structure based on the traditional one. A baffle is placed between cylinder wall and coil pipe. In this way, the condensate will not drop on the cylinder wall directly. Therefore, the occurrence of cracks is impossible. Otherwise, welding parts between the led tube and the interior wall will generate flaw because of alternating stress.
