Modeling for Vehicles' Safe Driving Behavior for Pavements Damage

Abstract:

Based on the domestic and foreign studying of vehicles lane-changing micro behavior theory of modeling and simulation, the model for vehicles safe driving behavior for pavements damage is established. A Logit-like discrete choice model for lane-changing is described under the constraint of pavements damage. The mechanism of vehicles lane-changing is analyzed. Calculation method of the minimum longitudinal spacing is established, which guarantees the no overlap between the vehicle track and pavements damage. The method can improve the safety and comfort during the lane-changing maneuvers. In future research, the model can provide warnings or take evasive actions to avoid risk for vehicles safe driving behavior.
