Article Preview

Abstract:

On the basis of fire data reported in Wuhan Police Annual 2010 and Wuhan Evening News in 2009, this paper analyzes the spatial-temporal distribution of fires in urban areas of Wuhan by researching the occurrence rate and time quotient of fire. The analytical results demonstrate that in spatial scale, the fires in Qiaokou, Jianghan, Qingshan and Hanyang are relatively frequent, while in Wuchang, Jiangan and Hongshan, they are less frequent; in temporal scale, the frequency of fires is imbalanced in different month of the year and in different period of the day. The author puts forward some targeted and constructive suggestions after discussing possible reasons.
