Research on XCTD Launcher Based on EML Technology

Abstract:

In order to expand the application range of XCTD, an electromagnetic launch (EML) scheme of XCTD is put forward based on magnetic suspension EML technology. A preliminary design is made based on the EML scheme, in which the temperature variation and distribution law which affect the launch frequency are simulated. The launching result shows that it is in the outer surface of the secondary sleeve and the middle part of the driving coils that the temperature rises fastest and the heat is distributed most.
