Fuzzy Logic and Classification of Information Sources

Article Preview

Abstract:

Classic information theory is based on the probability information which isn't involved in any fuzzy events. A hypothesis of transformation and classification of uncertain information sources presented in this paper is exploited to explain several phenomena in information retrieval. First, the form of uncertainty is introduced including fuzzy and random. Then an information source containing a sample space and a fuzzy set is supposed to illustrate the hypothesis based on which a method of identification for information sources is educed. And there are also some problems for further study, such as the transformation mechanism between different information sources and so on.
