The Combustion and Emission Characteristics of Rapeseed Oil/Diesel Blended Fuel

Article Preview

Abstract:

In the experiment, the combustion and emission characteristics to burning different mixing ratio of rapeseed oil and diesel in a diesel engine was measured and analysissed. The mechanism of rapeseed oil / diesel blended fuel exhaust pollutants generated was discussed. The study results showed that: in the same stable conditions, fuel consumption rate increased with the rise in the proportion of rapeseed oil added, diesel combustion emissions of HC emissions was increasing with the rise in the proportion of rapeseed oil added, CO, NOx and soot emissions decreased with the rise in the proportion of rapeseed oil added.
