The Design of Self-Erection Derrick of Simple Offshore Workover Rig

Article Preview

Abstract:

Though the use of modular technology, a sub-vertical lifting offshore workover rig derrick for the marine small platform is designed, which can be installed and moved quickly. The overall derrick structure and most of the part design and selection are completed by Solidworks and Auto CAD. The static calculation for the derrick is done with the help of finite element analysis software ANSYS, and analyzed the results to ensure that the derrick designed could meet the strength requirements.
