Abstract: The paper addresses diversification strategy as a possibility to solve the problem of reduced use of production capacity caused by external factors such as a decline in demand in the core business. On the basis of real case study of a Czech production company the paper presents the methodology for the development of the diversification strategy with the aim of successful penetration to industrial sectors. The whole process is divided in four phases. The first phase is focused on the identification and assessment the production and competitive competences of the company. The second phase deals with the evaluation of potential sector attractiveness and feasibility of entry in the analysed sector. The received results served as a basis for setting a complex evaluation matrix subsequently, which was used to target on the most promising sectors. A detailed survey was carried out, that focused on the selected sectors within the third phase providing a basis for key success factors identification and potential entry scenario projection. The last phase focuses on important aspects of economic efficiency estimation of the entry into the selected industrial sector.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate of Non-Destructive Testing of Wood Plastic Composite (WPC), where the axis errors are mainly cracks caused by not change of cutting conditions (cutting speed and feed rate), respectively geometry of he cutting tool, but their imperfect encapsulation of wood with plastic (HDPE). Detection of surface defects was used visual inspection, colour penetrate test and fluorescent penetrate method. To detect internal defects was used X-ray. Pictures taken with a digital microscope camera does not provide sufficient information about internal defects, captures only the surface and as a result it is postulated that the cracks are spreading along the length of the profile extrusion axis (it is not possible to state their course in different layers – cross section along the thickness). Solution is use of the new technology – connection of metrology and tomography – metrotomography (X-ray scanning).

Abstract: The article deals with the basic technological aspects of injection moulding, pointing to the importance of correct product geometry design. Large differences in the wall thickness of the mould result in uneven cooling, material shrinkage, and the formation of internal stress. This ultimately may give rise to deformations, such as those in form sink marks, and may affect the required quality of the mould. The article describes the application of a specific example of one of the ways of correction of the mould wall thickness used in technological practice of the injection moulding technology. This is a case of employing the method of the so-called relief pins. After the introduction of the proposed modification of the form, the mould quality has improved, thereby increasing the production efficiency in the process of shape optimization of manufacturing the product called Installation Box Series S-BOX 106 made of polyamide PA 66. In addressing the issue, simulation of cooling plastic and injection pressure in Cadmold 3D-f software was employed.

Abstract: Robots and manipulators are often part of technological workshop. Their end effectors usually repeat motion at the same path so to be the workpiece transferred and oriented into the specific position. With the definition of the servomotors and drivers in individual joints of robot, when the motion trajectory of selected point is known, is concerned part of mechanics so called inverse kinematics. The article deals with virtual simulation of robot motion as a tool that supports the research of kinematics characteristics in individual joints. Software PTC Creo was used for the computer aid of modelling and servomotors investigation. Obtained dependences of accelerations in time for each joint can be backward used at the controlling of robot motion in the real conditions.

Abstract: Presented article is focused on welding of structural steel using coated electrode. Weld can be defines as a permanent join of two or more materials. Welder unit was Inventor 140 GC, where was weld 6 samples with different parameters of welding. Samples were tested by non-destructive methods such as visual control, capillary method and ultrasound method. Detection of defects in microstructures was made by destructive method – metallographic method. Testing of quality provide the most suitable welding parameters for welding constructions from structural steel S 235.

Abstract: The main part of Standard ISO 3685 is T-vc dependence for various cutting materials. The Standard ISO 3685 contains main properties and characteristics for three most important cutting materials those are used in engineering practice. These cutting materials are used for cutting tools made of high speed steel, cutting ceramic and sintered carbide. Some types of cutting materials are defined by means of descriptions in standards ISO, some types by means of catalogues from the manufacturer. There are a lot of types of cutting materials they have not been defined theirs properties exactly yet and theirs properties have to be defined on experiments. There is a presumption that descriptions in standards ISO are not correct and these standards have to be examined and verified, because that this fact have to be confirmed or disproved. Accuracy and completeness technical standards ISO are very important part quality of manufacturing. Article describes process how to define T-vc dependence for cutting tools made of high speed steel, cutting ceramic and sintered carbide, because were found deficiencies in valid standard ISO 3685.

Abstract: The article deals with the principles of fixtures design and their application at virtual modelling in CAD/CAM system. The computers have became an important part of our life and about its benefits nobody doubts. The designers have got the strong tools into the development hands that use the potential of computer techniques for the creation of completely new applications, which alleviate the solution not only of common problems, but already the special defined, too. New technologies bring the change of mind. The classic way “production on the base of drawing” is often substituted by computer aid technology that thanks to three dimensional graphic enables to solve the difficult phases of the body design direct in its real version of full-value stereometric body. In the article are described the principles of the fixtures design using CAD/CAM system following by application of these rules for machining of complex shape armature.

Abstract: Comprehensive environmental observation, eco-innovation and smartization are essential to ensure the delivery of the long-term data and information required to address the shift towards smart, green and integrated raw materials efficiency. For this reason we need the mine-wide digitalization and informatization base model, an advanced mine-wide decision support system and a smart supervision system to supervise and control the production, back to predefined short-term production targets with most likelihood and optimal approaches. There are three main steps to be taken: analysis, evaluation and determination of the shift requirements, development of the models as well as modeling of the scenarios and connection to the smart platform for the support of the decision makers. The paper aims to consider what would be required for a raw materials area to operate as a modern smart technology-supported business. It attempts to provide a vision of some future smart architectures scenarios.

Abstract: Every experiment has inputs and outputs. Inputs are defined before experiment and they are accurately determined and described. Outputs have to be measured and described after experiment. It is very difficult to describe and express parameters that are base of experiments. Tested parameters and theirs dependencies are very often described by means of graphs, tables or definitions. Lot of parameters and their dependencies in engineering practice are not described by means of formula. Very important and often used standard ISO in engineering practice is standard ISO 3685. This standard includes characteristics for various cutting materials. The main part of this standard is T-vc dependence for cutting materials. One of the cutting materials contained in standard ISO 3685 is cutting ceramic. There are instructions obtained in standard ISO 3685 for creation of T-vc dependence. Specification cutting tools durability made of cutting ceramic in machining process of steel 80MoCrV4016 is very important for economics of small and medium-sized enterprises, because cutting tool durability is factor that significantly affects the budget of these enterprises. This problematic is determined for small and medium-sized manufacturers of bearings, because steel 80MoCrV4016 is most commonly used for production of bearings. Durability of cutting tool defines lifetime of this cutting tool and it determines its suitability for select technological operation. The article describes process how to create durability dependence for cutting tools made of cutting ceramic by means of T-vc dependence in machining process of steel 80MoCrV4016.
