Abstract: This Water level change of upper storage reservoir of pumped storage power station is frequent and big. The change leads to freezing damage on and adverse impact on bank stability of reservoir in cold zone. For above problems, combining with the running project, using dynamic ice condition image shooting system, vibrating ice pressure gauge , the characters on reservoir bank destroyed by coldness and action rules of ice pressure on bank slope were studied in depth. The scientific prevention measures were proposed. The monitoring period of maximum observed ice pressure is 21kPa, the magnitude of ice pressure on the hydraulic structures without causing a significant threat. Because of the action of buoyancy, the bank around the dry stone pitching occurred in a large scope to armour stone are pulled out as the main form of failure. The research results will have significance on freezing damage prevention scheme formulation of reservoir bank of pumped storage power station in cold zone.

Abstract: The soil pedotransfer functions (PTFs) provide an easily way to estimate the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity, and it predicts missing characteristics from already available basic soil data. In this paper, a review was made on the most common PTFs for the estimation of unsaturated hydraulic conductivity in recent years, including the methods of Rosetta, Rawls, Campbell and Vauclin. Based on the methods, a summary of necessary input parameters and basic properties of the PTFs was made to in this paper. Finally it was pointed out that the future study will focus on how to improve the accuracy and reliability of PTFs and the multi scale study.

Abstract: In this paper, bi-directional fluid-solid coupling numerical analysis method was introduced into the structural design of hydrodynamic coupling, this method was adopted to simulate the impeller strength and analyze the dynamic characteristics of the turbine blades, as well as the influences of turbine blades deformation the inside flow filed of hydrodynamic coupling was discussed. The work provides a theoretical basis for the design of the hydrodynamic coupling with the great power and high speed.

Abstract: Due to the narrow island, topography and climatic factors and steep river bed erosion affecting in Taiwan, Laishe River in Pingtung County for example in this study, flow field simulating river change in bend-shaped section by SMS-2D in order to calculate accelerating erosion in the main deep grooves caused by reflecting force due to construction of the revetment protection, further evaluate the project footings erosion failures, is to verify the correctness of erosion equation simulation in the flow field, thus, providing reliable information and references for hydraulic engineers.

Abstract: According to the area of water resources development and utilization of non-equilibrium phenomena, introduces the concept of water resource Gini coefficient, introduces two kinds of calculation methods of water resources in the Gini coefficient, establishes a non-equilibrium evaluation model of water resources, from the two aspects of intragenerational and intergenerational were evaluated for non-equilibrium degree and the law of development and evolvement of water resources development and utilization in the area, and to put forward the idea of water resources and social economy unbalanced development model. Through an empirical analysis of water resources Gini coefficient in Hubei province, obtained the practical achievement and conclusion.

Abstract: In order to reasonably and effectively select the typical year with water and sediment from numerous data, an analysis method of fuzzy clustering iterative model was proposed. Based on the example of Jinji hydrologic station, this paper calculates the model and compares it with the the traditional frequency method. Result shows that it was typical in terms of total amount and distribution of flow and sediment to use this method, and the subjectivity of index weight and classification standard of water and sediment is avoided by using this model. So the method is objective and rational.

Abstract: The drainage system of a part of a university campus was tapped using SWMM (Storm Water Management Model). Local drainage discharge capacity was studied under different design storm return period. Results show that flooding and overload at some junctions and in some conduits are doubled with the increase of design rain return period from one year to five year, which may deteriorate the traffic and road base.

Abstract: Sediment layer can change the dynamic property of reservoir water. As a result, the dynamic response of dam body would be affected. In this paper, the sediment layer is simulated as saturated liquid-solid two-phase media, and the finite element model of gravity dam-reservoir water-sediment system is established with the gradual enlargement mesh method. Then the influence of sediment layer on seismic wave motion is studied with this model. The calculation result shows that the energy radiation of far field of foundation, reservoir water and sediment can be considered efficiently in this model, and with the thickening of sediment layer the dynamic water pressure on dam face decreases.

Abstract: Based on the related theory under recharge condition, the trial method solving the hydrogeological parameters of unsteady flow by single well recharge test according to Theis Formula can be gotten. Integrating the cubic spline interpolation curve of the parameters into the said trial method, the improved trial method of inversion hydrogeological parameters is worked out by using single well recharge formula. In this method, the cubic spline interpolation curve is constructed from three groups of initial adjacent comparison points at first. Then the fussy trial process of the traditional trial method can be replaced by line-line intersection. It can be seen from the practical verification of the data of underground water manual recharge test somewhere in Xi’an City that the calculation steps here are greatly simplified comparing to the traditional trial method. And the calculation result is basically the same with the existing data, which shows that this method is simple and effective.

Abstract: The mineral resources in our country is variety and huge reserves, but there are still many problems in the mining process. Among the problems, the water burst and water inrush are much more prominent. Through full and comprehensive analysis of previous studies collected data and laboratory data and field investigations, based on the long-term observations of the natural state steady groundwater flow of Huijiabao mine, and the unsteady groundwater flow of the pumping tests in Changtian well, and other tests, Combined with the actual production situation, it predicted the water inflow on the 1000 meters level of Huijiabao mine of Guizhou Province by numerical simulation methods to provides the safety production of mining.
