Study on the Bridge Deck Pavement Strengthened by Planted Steel Bars of the Hollow Slab Bridge

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this experiment, three beams are chosen from a used hollow slab bridge, and one of them is reinforced by planted steel bars in old pavement and others are left intact or cleared away from old pavement for comparison with the first one through static lastage pressing experiments. The research results show that planted steel bars between pavement and beam can enhance the connection, upgrade rigidity and change the flexural behavior .The study may also be taken as a reference of the bridge reinforcement’s research.
