Failure Analysis on Main Drive System of Tracked Vehicles

Article Preview

Abstract:

he failure phenomenon of coupling and universal-joint trunnion had often taken place since they were put in production. The static load strength and fatigue strength of main components were tested and analyzed in the ANSYS software. In order to deal with this failure problem, dynamics and kinematics emulation of drive system without damper was made to find the reason for his failure problem. An improvement program for the drive shafts was put forward. This paper provides theoretical basis for the design and production of tracked vehicles’ drive shafts.
