Analysis of Human Factors Applied to Work Activities of a Welder in a Small Plant Oriented to Manufacture of Weldments from Recycled Materials

Article Preview

Abstract:

The aim of contribution was to assess the activity of a welder in small enterprise oriented to manufacture of weldments from recycled materials from ergonomic viewpoint by application of two methods, namely Quick Exposure Check (QEC) and Strain Index (SI). Suitability of application of individual methods for the welder ́s works is compared, regarding the aspects of speed, analysis complexity and relevance of the results achieved. Measures for improving the workplace state from the viewpoint of ergonomics and preventing the occurrence of the work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are discussed.
