Abstract: Three lipids (beeswax, palmitic acid and stearic acid) and a hydrophilic film (soybean protein-isolate/carboxymethyl cellulose film) were selected as a model to inspect the relation between the lipid state and barrier properties. The free-lipid ratio of composite films was the best indicator for the transparency rather than the moisture barrier. The free-lipid content/total-lipid content had the highest negative correlation factor with the moisture barrier. Hence, raising free-lipid ratio was effective to improve the moisture barrier of hydrophilic films.

Abstract: For the principle of green sizing, the key research on sizing technology which reduce the degree of COD in wastewater of sizing was carried out. PVA and modified starch slurry was gradually replaced by hemp pole cellulose ether and modified starch slurry, and the original formula was optimized. After valuing viscosity and COD of the slurry, several suitable formulas were chosen. Then experiments on the same batch of hemp/cotton blended yarn sizing were carried out, and the sizing enhancement rate, stretching rate and the increasing grinding rate were tested. Through the comparative analysis, the COD of hemp pole cellulose ether slurry with modified starch is lower than that of PVA slurry with modified starch. Meanwhile, with the certain compound rate, the former sizing performance is better than the later.

Abstract: A three-factor three-level Box-Behnken design(BBD) was employed to optimize capsaicin-loaded nanoparticles(Cap-NPs), and its properties in vitro and in vivo were evaluated. Particle size, morphological characteristics, entrapment efficiency of Cap-NPs were investigated respectively by Zetasizer, H7000 TEM and HPLC. Release, skin permeation and skin irritation test were investigated on mouse and rabbits. The predicted values of Cap-NPs were 94.50±6.33% for entrapment efficiency(EE) and 170.30±7.81 nm for particle mean diameter(PMD) under optimal conditions which were 346.33 bar (homogenization pressure, X1), 4.67 min(homogenization time, X2), and 15421.42 rpm (shear rate, X3). The in vitro permeation study showed that capsaicin permeability in NPs-gel was a 2.80-fold greater flux values than conventional ointment after 24 h. Cap-NPs-gel produce no observable skin irritation in rabbits within 72h. The optimized Cap-NPs-gel would be a good candidate for transdermal delivery.

Abstract: The domestic research of the steel plate concrete structures have been focused on the nuclear power plant structures that usually require high strength. This research tried to establish some basic design information of SC structures using cementless concrete. This paper studied on the compressive characteristics and effective length factors subjected to the concentrated compression loadings. The experimental results in average was 98% of the value calculated from the equation in KEPIC-SNG, and the experimental results was 92% of the value calculated from the equation in JEAG-4618.

Abstract: Ferrocement composite is constructed by cement mortar and reinforced buy layers of continuous and relatively small size wire mesh. The high cement usage in the mixture causes environmental and economical impacts. Basalt fiber is produced from melted basalt rock. This paper reports the experimental investigation carried out on the flexural characteristics of ferrocement composite using various kinds of basalt meshes by basalt fiber and different volume of Class F fly ash. The results clarify that the ferrocements without fly ash or with a small percentage of fly ash have a good mesh/matrix bond, leading to a better flexural behavior. The high volume of fly ash is shown to have a negative effect.

Abstract: It is one of focus topics that metro vibration affects foundations and environments. Assumed that crumb rubber mortar can be injected into foundations to form separate vibration layerbecause crumb rubber mortar is with better ductility and properties of vibration resistance, the layer decreases the effect of transportation load on foundation. Different diameters and volumes of rubber power were joined into the mortar to form rubber mortar by experiments. Then their flow degree and strenghth were measured and compared with ordinary mortar. The result shows that the rubber with smaller diameters can improve flow properties of mortar. When the volume inserting is ten percent of total sand volume, the flow property is best. The rubber mortar with best flow property was conserved for twenty-eight days. The damp property and impact resistant were determined under metro dynamic load. The experiment found that when the volume inserting is twenty percent of total volume, the damp value was improved twenty percent with twenty-five percent of absorbing energy and better separate vibration property. Therefore, the separate vibration layer can largely reduce the effect of vibration from metro and decrease the settlement of foundations of metro.

Abstract: The paper Introduces the structure composition and performance characteristics of the large partical size and porous rubber modified asphalt mixture, analyses the road performance of mixtures, on the basis of the characteristics of higher proportion of coarse aggregate and poriness, puts forward the practical and feasible construction scheme. It will be a beneficial exploration for the development and application of the large partical size and porous rubber modified asphalt mixture in the "white and black" pavement structure.

Abstract: In the previous article we studied the strength quality of cement paste blended with waste solar PV cells. In this study, the similar research was performed by replacing cement paste with concrete except that a large w/c ratio of 0.55 was set since high permeability or more capillary pores may take a better observation on the experimental results. The conclusions were made on the effect of cement replacement with ground solar cells. The use of ground solar cells on the mechanical properties of cement-based composite was investigated, and as a result, we identified the strength performance for those of concrete specimens.

Abstract: Paper material has many excellent characteristics in architectural applications. Our main constructions for disaster rescue are temporary tents, board house and so on for a long time, so it is difficult to meet the psychological demands of the people in disaster area. According to Maslow's hierarchy theory of psychological demands, this paper analyzes people’s demands of physiology, psychology and social aspects in disaster areas, also sums up the exploration of paper material in architectural application, and finally summarizes that paper material is economy, flexible, safety, sustainable and so on.

Abstract: The utilization of the stone material in Chinese official buildings in early Ming Dynasty was mature, and the characteristics performed at the tremendous volume in scale, the flowing lines and the plain style in decoration. This paper took the stone material used in the official buildings in the three capitals (Fengyang, Nanjing and Beijing) as the research object, analyzing the stone’s characteristics, categories and related the transport ability in early Ming Dynasty.
