Abstract: The microscopic morphological characteristics of main clay minerals in Zhangcun illite ores were studied by using high-resolution scanning electron microscopic (SEM) and image analysis technology. The results show that: (1) the illite generally appear as crooked scaly and foliated partly; (2) illite/smectite (I/S) mixed layered mineral are banding flake with filamentous edge mostly and cusp type flake partly; (3) pyrophyllite appear to be flake and tabular sheet forming hollow pipe; (4) serpentinite are obviously fine flake with wavy shape .

Abstract: The research involves studying the high-temperature chemical interaction of the Al-SiO2 system components. The high-temperature interaction of molten aluminum and silicon dioxide results in formation of aluminum matrix composite material containing silicon microparticles. The predominant linear size of silicon microparticles amounts to 3 - 5 microns, their mass fraction in the composite reaches 29 %.

Abstract: The TiC powders were synthesized by carbothermal reduction of TiO2 in vacuum using the titania and carbon black as raw materials. The molar ratio of C to TiO2 was 3:1. The crystalline phase, microstructure and morphology of the obtained samples were investigated by XRD and SEM. The results show that single-phase and well-crystallized TiC powders were obtained at 1300°C for 1h when the system pressure was 20 Pa. The particle morphologies are composed of fine grains about 200 nm.

Abstract: In this paper, the reaction mechanism of inorganic carbon and titanium dioxide synthesis of titanium carbide thermodynamic were explored, and a thermodynamic basis date for the microwave heating was provided. Through analyzing the experimental results for the thermal stability of titanium carbide, we could obtain the theoretical parameters for the actual synthesis process.

Abstract: Mesoporous silica pillared clay (SPC) materials with different contents of H4PMo11VO40 (PVMo) heteropoly acid were synthesized by introducingPVMo into clay interlayer template in an acidic suspension using sol–gel method. The results of the characterizations showed that PVMo was dispersed homogeneously in the encapsulated samples. The encapsulated materials exhibited good catalytic performance in oxidation of cyclohexene.

Abstract: For a variety of applications it is desirable to produce textile materials with specially designed properties. The aim of this work is focused on production methods of 2D woven reinforcing structures and studies of mechanical properties of produced reinforcements from renewable natural fibers - hemp and flax yarns. Results and discussion are presented in the research paper.

Abstract: The purpose of this communication is to study the effect of the nature of the polymer layer on the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of a multilayer organic based composite material. Our work is divided into two parts. In the first part, we set different layer thicknesses and the frequency is varied. In the second part, we set the frequency and do vary the nature of the polymer layer and the thickness of the different layers. The different results obtained we show that the efficiency is strongly influenced by the nature of the polymer layer.

Abstract: In this paper, the novel structure of carbon nanocoils were synthesized successfully by catalytic thermal decomposition of acetylene in CVD reactor under inert atmospheric pressure. Fe as a catalyst coated alumina beads used as substrate , both were placed inside a cylindrical shape stainless steel mesh SSC and located at the mid of CVD reactor. Preliminary study of application of prepared carbon nanocoil in synthesis of photodiode showed that the photodiode has a good rectification and the forward current obeys to tunneling-recombination model.

Abstract: In this study, the slag and metakaolin which contain rich elements of silica and aluminium were used to manufacture three types of composite geopolymer mortar: Type A (100% slag), Type B(70% slagand 30% metakaolin) and Type C(30% slag and70% metakaolin). Both the sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate solution were used as the activators. Experimental parameters included three ratios of SiO2/Na2O of 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8, three concentrations of alkali activator (7, 9 and 15%) and three water-to-solid ratios (0.33, 0.45 and 0.55), and four volumetric ratios of fine aggregate to whole mortar of 0, 10, 30, 50%, respectively. Two curing conditions of 50% relative humidity (RH), 25±2°C and 75% RH, 25±2°C were used for the dry shrinkage test. The results of study show that, at age of 28 days, the Type Bgeopolymer had the lowest drying shrinkage in the range between 450 and 760microstrains at 50%RH, and decreased to values between 270 and 340microstrainsat 70% RH.The average compressive strength of 89.3 MPa at age of 28 days for geopolymer mortar without metakaolin decreases to 74.7 MPa and 49.6 MPafor those with added metakaolin by 30 wt% to 70 wt%, respectively.

Abstract: The article describes the process efficiency of ultrasonic mechanical stabilization of details in comparison with the conventional thermal treatment. It is shown that ultrasonic treatment enhances the productivity and quality of manufactured details. As a result of the proposed stabilizing treatment the relaxation of residual stresses, the required geometry, such as waviness and ovality, as well as necessary mechanical properties are ensured.
