The Empirical Analysis of Technological Innovation Efficiency of Small and Medium-Sized High-Tech Enterprises in Xi'an High-Tech Zone Based on DEA

Abstract:

The study did an empirical analysis of technological innovation efficiency through a case study of high-tech SMEs of Xi'an High-tech Zone of 1999-2004 by DEA. Empirical analysis shows that it is generally good to technological innovation efficiency of high-tech SMEs of Xi'an High-tech Zone in the case of variable returns to scale. Under the same circumstances scale efficiency, the technology innovation efficiency of aerospace manufacturing is lower, which explained that aerospace industry is mainly affected by scale efficiency. However, Computer and office equipment industry’s pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency are slightly related to other industries. Finally, for empirical analysis of high-tech SMEs of Xi'an Hi-tech Zone provid some suggestions.
