Numercial Simulation of a Special Valve in Pneumatic Conveying Pipelines

Article Preview

Abstract:

A simulation of a new regulating valve designed for pneumatic conveying pipelines is carried out in this paper. This simulation uses SOLIDWORKS to build the valve model ICEM-CFD to generate the mesh, and FLUENT to numerically simulate the fluid field in pipeline under different opening degrees of the valve. The simulation results show that the new regulating valve has good regulation characteristics which can effectively regulate pipe resistance.
