Synthesis and Optical Properties of Strontium Aluminate with Industrial Sodium Aluminate Solution
Abstract:
Eu2+,Dy3+co-doped strontium aluminate with high brightness and persistent luminescence was prepared by solid-state reaction with aluminium hydroxide prepared from refined industrial sodium aluminate solution as the aluminate-containing material. The effects of rare earth dosage and sintering temperature on optical properties of the phosphor were investigated. The samples prepared under the optimal conditions were characterized by XRD patterns and afterglow decay curves, The results show that under the conditions of x (Eu)=3%,x (Dy)=3%, sintering temperature 1300°C, sintering time 4h and w (H3BO3)=9%, the prepared phosphor remains in the crystal structure of SrAl2O4,its optical properties is the best and brightness is the highest with a main excitation wavelength of 360nm and a main emission wavelength of 510nm. The decay time of the persistence indicates that the phosphor has bright phosphorescence and maintains a long duration.
