The Influence of Sintering Temperature and Whisker Content on the Flexural Strength of Aluminum Borate Whisker Reinforced Aluminum Phosphate Composite Materials

Article Preview

Abstract:

Aluminum phosphate as matrix material, adding an appropriate amount of aluminum borate whisker, according to a specific method, the aluminum borate whisker reinforced aluminum phosphate composite materials were prepared. The whisker content was 20wt%, 30wt%, 40wt%, 50wt%, 70wt%, and the sintering temperature was 1400 °C, 1450 °C, 1500 °C, 1550 °C, to investigate the mechanical properties variation in different sintering temperatures and different whisker content. Determine the optimum sintering temperature and optimum whisker content, when the mechanical properties of the composite materials are the best.
