Extraction of Astaxnathin from Portunus trituberculatus Using Ionic Liquids as Additives of Extraction Solvents

Article Preview

Abstract:

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid red pigment in yeast, microalgae, shrimp and crab, and has strong antioxidant activity. In this work, an effective and accurate method was developed for the extraction of astaxanthin from Portunus trituberculatus with ionic liquids as extraction additives. 47.30 mg/g of astaxanthin in extracts was detected by C18 column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-chloroform-methanol-water (71:22:4:3, v/v).
