Thermoluminescence Properties of Doped YAP Crystals

Article Preview

Abstract:

Many properties of thermodynamics and mechanics are similar between YAP crystal and YAG crystal. In this paper, TL properties of YAP:Nd, YAP:Er, YAP:Tm3+, YAP:Ho3+and YAP:Yb are introduced in the first place. The TL spectral lines and dose response curves of the YAP:Mn, YAP:Cu and YAP:Ce are analyzed in some detail. It has been found that the doped YAP crystal may function as an excellent dosimeter material of radiation owing to its unique properties.
