The rotational speed is an important parameter during the cutting of circular saw blades. It affects the stress distribution, the vibration and the whistling noise of the saw blade. It also has an influence on the cutting accuracy and the useful life of saws. In this paper we analyze the mechanical properties of the circular saw under different rotational speeds. The mechanical properties we investigate include the stress distribution, the critical stress, the natural frequency and the vibration amplitude.
