Abstract:

This paper focuses on the research for test method of PDC impact resistance performance. It has been proved that not only can PDC impact resistance be revealed well, but also test time could be shortened greatly after instead of 0.2kg steel ball with 2kg steel ball. With the improvement method, we test the impact resistance performance of PDC with 5 typical macroscopic interfaces at normal temperature and after heating, such as, planar structure, v-groove, u-groove, ring groove, ring claw-tooth. With SEM, we study on its different impact resistance performance due to different macroscopic interfaces, analyze the reason why PDC impact resistance is different with the changing of PDC macroscopic interface, and find macroscopic interface with multi-plane shape (e.g. ring claw-tooth) plays an important role on eliminating the stress of interface.
