Application of Grid Map Method in Woven Fabric with Curved Surface

Article Preview

Abstract:

The grid map of woven fabric with curved surface which was drawn by MATLAB software was used to study on the change of fabric shape and structure. By use of this method, the problem of overhead yarns and fabric corrugation can be avoided when the preform is winded or overlaid on the mould. Therefore composites forming process is greatly simplified.
