Optimization Mathematic Model of the Arrangement of Aiguilles Cutting Picks

Article Preview

Abstract:

Cutting performance of aiguilles mainly depends on the arrangement of cutting picks. This thesis took cutting specific consumption as the optimizing goal, spatial parameters of cutting picks as the designing variables, and then established the optimization mathematic model of the arrangement of cutting picks. Mathematic model was solved by Matlab programming, then got the optimized arrangement parameters of cutting picks. According to the optimized parameters, manufactured the aiguilles and carried out the drilling test. The result indicated that production efficiency and advance speed of optimal designed aiguilles were all improved, abrasion of cutting picks were roughly the same and there was no clear cut mark on the drlling holes.
