Some Thoughts on the Development of Digital Technology in the Construction Industry

Abstract:

The influence of digital technique to construction industry has become more and more great. Current digital technique has transformed from the stage of “Computer-aided Drawing” to the stage of “Computer-aided Design and Analysis”. In recent years, along with the statement of construction information model and life cycle management of construction engineering concept, the digital technique penetrated the entire process of building program from project design, expand at the beginning of design, construction drawing design to the construction. The development and appliance of digital technique in construction industry were summarized. The digital technique’s development in future construction industry was also forecasted.
