Reform the Modes of Graduation Practice and Enhance Practical Competences of Engineering Majors
Abstract:
Graduation practice is an important teaching step for the cultivation of engineering majors’ practical competences and their abilities to analyze and handle problems through comprehensive application of the fundamental knowledge acquired. In the present environment of marketing economy and with current higher education shifted from elite to mass, a reformation on the traditional modes of graduation practice has become an urgent must. This paper analyzes in detail the various problems in the graduation practice of engineering majors, and proposes new practice modes from the perspectives of practice bases, means, organization, contents and evaluation, which has achieved ideal effects and won recognition and praise from the organizations involved. It is worth being applied and extended among university graduates of engineering majors in their graduation practice.
