The Research on Snake-Like Robot Design Based on Single Chip Microprocessor

This paper introduces a three-dimensional snake-like robot based on AT89C2051 microcontroller. The structure which consists of relatively independent units composed of joints can achieve simple way of serpentine motility, peristaltic movement and three-dimensional complex movement by combining these two methods. For this feature, the system could well simulate the snake activity. The control system realizes the motion of snake-like robot through controlling each joint angle of servo by microprocessor.
