Textile Pattern Design Based on Multi-Rules L-System

Article Preview

Abstract:

The principle of the L-system is the notion of rewriting, where the basic idea is to draw a graph by interpreting a character string generated by successively replacing the initial element according to a set of production rules. In this paper, textile patterns were designed with the fractal images generated by VB program on the basis of multi-rules L-system theory. These textile patterns can be introduced into digital inkjet printing, and the applying effect on home textile were simulated.
