Study on Water-Based Highly Reflectivity Insulation Coating

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper researched a solar heat-reflective insulation coating method, investigating coating morphology and other factors affecting the performance of thermal insulation, such as membrane material and the type of insulation pigments as well as pigment to binder ratio. It used solar heat reflectivity and infrared spectroscopy to characterize the coating thermal insulation performance. The results showed that with the silane coupling agent for the bonded dispersant, the flake aluminum powder and titanium dioxide for the thermal insulation filler, together with water and additives, the average reflectance of visible light is 56%, the UV reflectance is 53%, the infrared reflectivity is 58%.
