Abstract:

It is the important impulse for regional economical growth and coordination that city participates in the regional role and competition. The competition ability of city is based on wide hinterland development and city region coordination. In this paper, the authors address the planning thinking in city region perspective, and take Wusu as a case study. The development conditions of Wusu are analyzed and evaluated, and the development advantages of Wusu are compared with other areas in city region perspective. Then the concept towards the new integrated planning based on the regional coordination and working-in-existing plans system is put forward.
