Research on a Novel Power Inverter Control Strategy Based on Micro-Grid

Article Preview

Abstract:

Based on summarizing a stand-alone running strategy of distributed power inverter and analyzing the possibility to control grid-connected power inverter with the same strategy, a novel micro-grid power inverter control method is proposed in this paper. While applying this method, the power inverter can not only output power in the grid- connected scenario, but also automatically produce power to satisfy the power demand or non-power demand about the load and power-sharing among inverters when the islanding and stand-alone events take place. It overcomes some traditional power inverter shortcoming that it can not make micro-grid smooth transition from grid-connected to islanding and to stand-alone status, due to the delay during different strategies being switched. At last, the effectiveness of the proposed method was proved by simulation results.
