Study on Relationship between Building Material and Building Form

Abstract:

Different materials will offer different physical property and visual effects, where the building form is the result of adapting to the material and showing its effect. This paper made some suggestions on selecting and applying materials involved in building design in terms of structure stress, making technique and artistic appearance. This method is a return to the essentials of building, and a key direction for building innovation.
